Tips from Manfried: How to Dress Up Your Man
It's National Dress Up Your Pet Day, and we couldn't be more excited about all the adorable costumes gracing our social media feeds. If you're like us, you know dressing up your pet can be the cutest, funniest, and most precious thing in this world. But what about in another world, like the one where Steve Catson and his pet man Manfried live? In Manfried the Man, the roles of cats and humans are reversed, putting humanoid felines in charge of tiny, dim-witted little man-pets. In honor of Dress Up Your Pet Day, we're giving a how-to lesson on dressing up your man.
Have you read Manfried the Man? Read it before the second book, Manfried Saves the Day, hits bookshelves this May.
If your man is sweet, timid, and loving…dress him up like a pumpkin.
This costume will make you say, "Aww, my little pumpkin!" It's the epitome of sweetness. Bonus: you can break this costume out again at the start of autumn. And Halloween. And Thanksgiving.
If your man is food-motivated…dress him up as a hamburger.
Your man is always hungry and only responds to the dinner bell. Your go-to outfit has to be this little hamburger number. (Just know that you may have to bribe your man with a snack to get him into the costume.)
If your man has a BFF…dress them up in this classic ketchup and mustard combo.
**BONDED PAIR** Your men are never alone. They are inseparable and love to wrestle each other, cuddle together and groom each other. They go together like salt and pepper, peanut butter and jelly, or—our favorite—ketchup and mustard.
If your man is fiercely loyal…dress him up as a cowboy.
Your man may be shy and quiet, but he'll protect you until the end of his days. He'd be perfect as as an adventurous cowboy from the Wild West. After all, he is the sheriff of your heart.
If your man is confident and strong…dress him up as a dragon.
Your man is a force to be reckoned with. He knows what he wants and is vocal about getting it, which can be good and bad. Give him a costume to match his attitude!
