Anyone who knows us knows we’re Pennsylvania through and through. Like the Eagles fans that walk among us, we’re proud to call Philadelphia home. (Sorry, Steelers fans.) Like the politics of this vast state, we can’t decide between Primanti Bros and a good ol’ fashioned cheesesteak. (Fries on a sandwich, y’all. How can you resist?) And like any nostalgic and feeling human being, we love a good hometown hero. Today, in the spirit of our Pennsylvania love, we’re taking you on a literary tour of our beloved state. If it’s your first time going to SDCC and the first time going to San Diego at all, you might be paralyzed with fear of getting around an unknown city, but never fear! There are more than a few places that will save your butt. From a quick snack between panels to emergency supplies to nighttime outfits, here's a list of 5 places I can walk to with my eyes closed from practice over the years. Know these spots and you too can relax and enjoy your trip without panicking.

There are some really, really cool libraries in this world. There are some that are environmentally proactive, some that house more books than one could read in a lifetime, and some that are just architecturally bizarre.

We’ve collected a list of some libraries we totally wouldn’t mind getting locked into.

It’s National Library Week and we couldn’t be more excited! While we’re really into the idea of checking out any book we want for free – seriously, how is this a real thing? – today we’re focusing on libraries that go beyond books. These libraries serve their communities in truly innovative ways, tapping into the needs and desires of their patrons to provide incredible public service. So, without further ado, here are our favorite above and beyond libraries.

Home to some of the world’s most magnificent natural arboretums, fantasy novels are sure to surprise and delight even the most intrepid traveler. Join us as we take you on an unbelievable journey through literary woods and forests. Be sure to pack a bottle of water, a map, and your imagination.  

In Madeleine L’Engle’s classic A Wrinkle in Time, the characters quickly come to realize the advantages of using a tesseract (the titular wrinkle in time) in order to travel instantaneously to other planets. The Newbery Award-winning novel tells the story of the Murry children as they rescue their father from Camazotz, a dark planet of conformity. But as sequels to A Wrinkle in Time demonstrate, tesseracting can take the Murrys anywhere or anytime, from the farthest reaches of the galaxy into the tiniest cells.  Since the Murrys have unlimited frequent flyer miles to tesser to any time and place, we’ve got some recommendations for their next vacations!
