Browsing the Shelves of the Orange is the New Black Library

YA Books We Wish Were TV Shows

While it’s (almost) always fun to see a favorite book turned into a movie, sometimes television is the medium more capable of bringing the true depth and scope of a beloved book for the screen. Some of the most popular and critically acclaimed shows right now, such as Game of Thrones, The Handmaid’s Tale, and The 100, are adaptations of popular novels, and that’s just scratching the surface. In this era of Peak TV, here are a few more that we think would translate well to the small screen.

Reviews Cut Short: Baywatch Edition

We haven’t seen the lifeguards of Baywatch since Mitch Buchannon – on the road to recovery from amnesia – returned to Hawaii to get married (again!) in the made for TV movie Baywatch: Hawaiian Reunion. A lot has changed since 2003, and to celebrate the lifeguards’ return to the screen in the latest Baywatch movie, we’ve asked them to recommend their favorite beach reads. After all, they have a lot of time to kill in that lifeguard chair.
