M: What are you on about, Pip? This sounds like the best sort of holiday.

Hello and a hearty welcome return, ladies and gentles. It’s Jane. Welcome back to my channel. I suppose this is what one might refer to as a ‘haul video,’ wherein I intend to detail the gifts I received on my 20^th birthday. I admit, I have not done one of these since years past, when I was far more youthful than I am presently. But they were quite well regarded then, so I suppose there will be no shame in diving into this acculturation of wealth and high regard for not yet finding a way to destroy myself for another year.

It's time for the annual holiday tradition of standing in long lines for big bargains! But wouldn't you rather use that time to read a book instead? Or at least bring a book to read while you're trapped in a queue. (If you're stuck in line while reading this, pass the time by seeing how many familiar literary faces you can spot in this illustration.)

November is almost at an end, and for NaNo writers that means one of two things. If things have gone to plan, you have written almost an entire book in just one month! At least fifty thousand words have flowed from your brain onto the page (or screen), your first draft is finished, and your month is ending with a glowing sense of accomplishment. High fives and champagne, you productive, high-speed writer, you! 

It’s November! Or as we like to call it The Month Moana Comes Out. It’s no secret we’re huge Hamilton fans here at Quirk Books, so naturally we’re excited to see and hear what Lin-Manuel Miranda’s written for Moana. (Also, how do you have the time, Lin?) To celebrate the release of Disney’s newest film, here are our five favorite Lin-Manuel Miranda moments.

The hierarchy in most homes goes like this: man in the bed, dog in the doghouse, and the cat sleeps wherever. Now where's the fairness in that? Cats deserve a special place to call their own, especially these fictional felines. The wait is over, furry friends!
