There is nothing darker or more unsettling than Emily Carroll’s Through the Woods. We can picture this macabre graphic novel getting the TV treatment. Might we suggest an animated series? With each episode featuring one of the five short stories featured in the novel. The trippy plotlines in this novel would please fans of Dark and The Midnight Gospel.

Horrorstör by Grady Hendrix
Retail workers everywhere would sure get a kick out of Grady Hendrix’s Horrorstör TV adaption. This spooky novel set in an Ikea-esque furniture store follows workers trying to solve a paranormal mystery. Que in jump scares, bloody walls and the scariest thing of all…customers! We think even the fans of Supernatural would shake in their boots after watching this show.

Meddling Kids by Edgar Cantero
Want a family friendly show to watch? We can picture Edgar Cantero’s Meddling Kids, being turned into a Scooby Do-esque mystery tv series. The book is scary, but not gory, and has a good mystery to solve. The show would have all the monsters, creepy characters, and a friendly canine companion of course. Calling all fans of Stranger Things!

Do you enjoy watching scary TV that have you on the edge of your seat, and you can’t look away? Well, we bet if Clay McLeod Chapman’s disturbing novel, Whisper Down the Lane was adapted it would not be for the faint of heart.
