Happy Birthday George Lucas! Here’s Your Disneystrology Horoscope
On May 14, 2013, George Lucas turns the ripe old age of 69. And, as I’m sure you are aware, Mr. Lucas recently sold his sizable galactic empire to Disney. What you may not know is that Quirk has a book called Disneystrology: What Your Birthday Character Says About You. So, I thought it might be fun to see what Mr. Lucas’ birthday character says about him. So without further ado, I present George Lucas’ Disney star-sign soulmate:

At first glance, the man who created the evil Darth Vader has very little in common with a friendly fairy. But, as I read through the profile, a few similarities started to jump out at me…
“You have talent for working with animals and are sympathetic to their needs.”
Many sources have listed ‘feeding the squirrels’ as one of Lucas’ hobbies. Weird, right? Not when you put it in the context of Ewoks and Wookies. Well, maybe it’s still weird.
“Working a job where you can have fun is vital to your well-being.”
Lucas is responsible for two of our biggest and most fun movie franchises in Star Wars and Indiana Jones. He clearly has fun with his work and knows how to spread that to his fans. He also recently stepped away from the pressures of those franchises to focus on smaller, more personal projects, which sounds like fun to me.
“…an aptitude for languages.”
The universe he created in Star Wars is filled with a vast array of languages. C-3PO is fluent in over 6 million languages just so the various races can communicate (not to mention Yoda’s curious dialect).
Keys to success include “Hatching butterflies and assisting with any other kind of metamorphoses.”
As a beloved filmmaker and storyteller, Lucas has spun many a yarn around the idea of growth and change. Most notably, he showed us innocent Anakin Skywalker become nefarious Darth Vader, but the guys in American Graffidid some growing up too.
Maybe I’m reaching. Maybe I’m reading too much into it. But isn’t all of astrology a bit of a stretch? Besides, for a guy who’s spent so much time with his imagination up among galaxies far, far away, it makes sense to let the stars (and Disney) dictate his fate. Go with it and have some fun with it yourself—why not take a look at your own birthday character?
