Walking Dead Spin-offs We’re Hoping for in 2020

This April, The Walking Dead will be premiering its second television spinoff series, giving audiences yet another way to explore our favorite flesh-eating apocalypse. But The Walking Dead: World Beyond is just one addition to Robert Kirkman's ever-growing Zombie universe. With multiple novels, several spin-off webisodes, Funko Pops, and even an attraction at Universal Studios, it seems there’s no stopping the slow, ambling expansion of this franchise. So we’re pitching some of our favorite ideas for Walking Dead TV spinoffs. Here’s what we’re hoping to see in 2020.

To All the Boys…and Other YA Novels We’d Love to See Adapted for Netflix

P.S. I Still Love You, the long-awaited sequel to 2018’s To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before is finally on Netflix – just in time for us to all swoon over Peter Kavinsky and write fake (totally real) valentines to him. Best Bards in Pop Culture

Netflix’s The Witcher finally proves that it is possible for a live-action adaptation of a video game to be a smash hit, even if uber-fans know that it’s really an adaptation of a book series to start with. Fans are loving the intricate timeline, the incredible swordfights, and of course, Geralt’s wide-ranging vocabulary.

It’s not just Geralt that fans love, though. The character that may well be the ultimate spotlight-stealer isn’t the powerful Yennefer or the magical Ciri, but the singing sensation that is Jaskier. Originally called Dandelion in the books, Jaskier is the perfect Bard; he’s wandering the realm, creating catchy stories and tunes for money, seducing everyone he can get his hands on, and acting as both narrator and comic relief. So toss a coin to your Witcher, and celebrate all the other pop culture Bards we love, from Gilmore Girls to Harry Potter.

The Many Literary Roles of Margot Robbie

Birds of Prey came out this past weekend and we cannot stop thinking about Margot Robbie. We are sufficiently freaked out by her Harley Quinn role – primarily because she seems to jump right off the pages of a DC comic, but also because she’s a freakin’ supervillain! To celebrate the release of this movie – and the killer last few years Margot Robbie has had at the box office – we’re diving into her resume and turning over every literary role she’s ever played.
