February is the pinkest month, thanks to Valentine’s day. But photographer Dustin Fenstermacher—supplier of eye-popping images for the Quirk titles How to Make Your Cat an Internet Celebrity and the award-winning How to Make Your Baby an Internet Celebrity—seems determined to make pink a fashionable choice all year round.

Because he’s teamed up with designer and photography consultant Neil Binkley to create a photo series that we think features some of his best non-cat non-baby work ever.

Love is in the air, and Valentine’s Day is tomorrow. This Valentine’s season, why not round up some of the most epic literary love stories? Maybe crack open that copy of The Thorn and the Blossom? Valentine’s Day should encourage us not only to appreciate that significant other, but to appreciate all the great loves we’ve been blessed with.

Yesterday, the Quirk publicity team awoke to find a hilarious video in our inboxes, crafted by Staehle himself. A Brief History of the Love Letter is just that, and serves as a great introduction to Staehle's love-themed postcard book, Hugs & Misses.

I recently had a baby boy, who I named Lincoln. The response I’ve gotten, almost nine times out of a ten is, “That’s a strong name.” It is. Obviously everyone associates it with the sixteenth president (though I’ll be honest, I really got it from a TV show). That said, I figured if you’re going to saddle your kid with a famous name, then you at least need to educate him on his namesake.

Quirk recently released their own book of kid presidents (appropriately named Kid Presidents), and since I’ve recently become very well versed on children’s books featuring American presidents, I figured I’d compile a list of my favorites (and funniest). After-all, President’s Day is almost here!

The wonderful thing about booksellers is that booksellers are wonderful, unique creatures.
