Our favorite hide-and-seek border collie is back today with Let’s Find Momo Outdoors! by Momo aficionado and pet parent Andrew Knapp. The fifth book in the Find Momo series just might be our favorite. (Shh! Don’t tell Find Momo Across Europe.) But we have too much love to focus on just one pup. Which is why we’re sharing some of our favorite authors and their adorable, very good dogs.

Museums with Literary Exhibits for International Museum Day

We don’t know about you, but one of the things we miss the most about pre-pandemic life is the joy and wonder of a really excellent museum exhibit. But until it’s safe to get up close and personal with the art, we’re daydreaming about the literary exhibits we want to visit – and doing some virtual museum hopping as we explore their digital collections. It’s International Museum Day, so here we go!

“April showers bring May flowers,” as the adage goes. While there are a variety of naming schemes for people in the world, like religious names, familial names and virtue naming, one of the most popular has for a long time been floral names. Though any day is a good day to celebrate Asian American Pacific Islanders, we’re wrapping up the second week of May which means we've got only a little over two weeks left to celebrate Asian Pacific American Heritage Month specifically. Free Comic Book Day is still on the mind from the start of the month, so we thought what better way to highlight the achievements of AAPI creators than to feature some of our favorite AAPI graphic novel writers, illustrators, and their characters?

Iconic Shrimp Moments in Pop Culture

[Photo by Elle Hughes on Unsplash]

May 10th is National Shrimp Day, and for those wondering why the humble prawn gets its own national day, it’s simply because shrimp is America’s most popular seafood! (Although, for those looking for any excuse to chow down on a crustacean, there is also National Lobster Day in June, and National Crabmeat day in March.) Americans eat more shrimp than any other seafood—but we don’t just love our shrimp on a plate.

Shrimp also appear across pop-culture as characters in animated family movies, in webcomics, stand-up comedy, and even sitcoms and film. These are the shrimpy moments that stuck with us.

It’s Star Wars Day and we have so much to look forward to. First of all, we’re definitely signing off every Zoom call with “May the force be with you.” (It’s pretty much the law, right?) And once the work day ends, there’s a one hundred percent chance that we’re going to watch Bad Batch on Disney+. But with a week between episodes, it’s guaranteed that we’re going to need more Star Wars content than that. Lucky for you, we have an entire Star Wars TBR queued up, full of some of our favorite authors!
