Graphic (Novel) Design: How To Organize And Impress People With Your Graphic Novel Collection
(Image via)
For people who enjoy reading and love actual books (you know, the kind printed on dead trees), their bookcase is not just a piece of furniture, but something that they will spend an inordinate amount of time thinking about, analyzing and generally lose an entire day working on to get looking “just right”. Your bookcase is a reflection of you and who you are, and how your books are organized, what books you have, what authors you feature prominently all say something about you. And more than anything, you want people to stand in awe of your books and say “Man, nice bookcase.”

William Shakespeare’s Star Wars Flash Mob at the Philadelphia Museum of Art
May the Fourth be with you, Star Wars fans!
This morning, Quirk Books, Urban Playground, and Drexel University’s Dragon Jedi assembled outside the Art Museum here in Philadelphia for a special reenactment of William Shakespeare’s Star Wars.
Members of Urban Playground and the Dragon Jedi performed three scenes from the book, and were accompanied by an inflatable R2D2, a number of weaponized baguettes, and plenty of curious onlookers.
A HUGE thank you to Urban Playground, the Dragon Jedi, and Locust Moon Comics (for hosting our mini after party on the super busy Free Comic Book Day). Expect more pictures next week! Til then, enjoy the video!

May the Fourth Be With Thee
Star Wars fans everywhere will be celebrating May the 4th in their own special way. Movie marathons, lightsaber battles, you name it. You can see a full list of official May the 4th events on Star Wars website, which includes a soccer game here in Philadelphia.
As for Quirk, we've whipped up this fun William Shakespeare's Star Wars ecard, just for you. Save it, pin it, send it around… and MAY THE FOURTH BE WITH THEE.

Quirk’s Trip To C2E2: Video & Pictures!
After spending four glorious days in the Windy City for C2E2, Nicole and I are back in Philadelphia. And while we're happy to be back… Chicago, you sure were good to us. We miss you. Keep in touch, okay?
During C2E2 we gave out a ton of Planet Quirk totebags, met new and old fans, and introduced convention goers to Ben H. Winters and E.B. Hudspeth. Both Ben and E.B. spoke on panels, and signed advance copies of their upcoming books, Countdown City and The Resurrectionist.
We also saw a ton of great cosplayers, met some awesome bloggers and press folk, and got to know the kind people at Valiant (they had a sax player!) and Topshelf Comics. They made excellent neighbors.
We managed to capture a number of cosplayers on camera, as well as Ben and E.B.'s signings. Check them out in the video above, or in the photos below. See you again soon, Chicago!
