This weather is slammin’ (see what we did there) and we are totally ready to slam. It’s officially National Poetry Month and we are squirming in our seats with excitement. What incredible things are all you poets cooking up? We’re too curious & oh so excited for what’s to come. If you’re doing the 30 poems in 30 days challenge, we are too and can’t wait to read/hear/experience what cosmic poetic shift April will bring. Some guy once said that April is the cruellest month, but we’re going to have to veto that one, Eliot, because April is proving to be anything but cruel. Here are this week’s Bookish Events:

CHICAGO! Quirk Books is coming your way! We’re packing up our bags, swag, and a whole lot of awesome books and headed to C2E2 .

We’ll be in booth #516. And, we’re so pumped that we have to preview all of the amazing things you can expect to find at our booth.

Mind. Blown.

Everyone loves Harry Potter. (Well, everyone cool does, anyway.) We could spend a whole day—if not a whole lifetime—trying to figure out why, recounting our favorite parts, and listing the various reasons why it’s such an important story to tell. Not only does the series address issues like intolerance, prejudice, and oppression, it’s also a story about WIZARDS doing COOL MAGIC STUFF! What's not to like?

But another great thing about Harry Potter is that J.K. Rowling is a very savvy storyteller on the level of plotting. She drops such small but meaningful clues throughout the seven books that even the biggest fans don’t catch until their fifth or tenth reread. So, in the spirit of Easter, here are some of my personal favorite foreshadow-y Easter eggs from across all seven books.
