This year on November 29, Louisa May Alcott would have turned 189—and yet, so long after she brought her irrepressible Little Women to life on the page, fans still can’t get enough of Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy. The 2019 film adaptation by Greta Gerwig went on to win an Oscar, proving that this tale of young women growing into themselves is one that truly stands the test of time. Although that doesn’t mean there is nothing to bring into the present day!

Not all new adaptations of the classic stick quite as close to the source material, with authors bringing Little Women up to date with the inclusion of LGBTQ+ characters and women of color, showing fans that the heart of the story isn’t limited by time, race, or orientation.

The latest miniseries to join the Marvel Cinematic (small screen) Universe is Hawkeye—a six episode adventure into Clint Barton’s life, and that of his new protege, Kate Bishop. Marvel comic fans will, of course, know who Kate is, as she has a long-established history in the comic universe (she first appeared in 2005). However, fans of the on-screen super-verse only may not quite know what to make of this Hawkeye-in-the-making.

For those looking for a little background on Kate, her time with Clint, and of course, the much-beloved Pizza Dog, these are the best comics to get caught up.

Ghostbusters Is Back, But the Pursuit of Ghosts Never Left

It’s been thirty-seven years since the original Ghostbusters hit theaters. I was ten years old and sat in one of those theaters with a bucket of popcorn, entranced by what I saw on the screen. Ghosts, slime, a giant marshmallow stomping through New York City, and Ray Parker Jr.’s “Who You Gonna Call?” stuck in my head—this movie had it all.
