We highly recommend you check out any event hosted by Tumblr’s Rachel Fershleiser and the “Debut Novelist Summer Smash” is no exception. This Tuesday, hear from four of this summer’s most buzz worthy debut authors: Angela Flournoy (The Turner House), Rebecca Dinerstein (The Sunlit Night), Julia Pierpont (Among The Ten Thousand Things), and Caroline Zancan (Local Girls). And hopefully, if announcements made on Twitter are indeed binding, we will also have Fall, Winter, and Spring Debut Novelist Smashes to look forward to in the coming months.

Jami Attenberg’s whirlwind book tour for Saint Mazie continues this Wednesday at the Sean Kelly Gallery. J. Courtney Sullivan will join her in conversation, and a book signing will follow the reading. The event will coincide with the gallery’s current exhibit, By the Book, “a group exhibition that explores the influence of literature in contemporary art and features works that utilize this idea as their source of inspiration.” Get more information, as well as your free ticket, here.
