The 6 Best Superhero Makeovers
Fans of the television show Heroes can rejoice, as their one time favorite is making its way back to television with a new series Heroes Reborn. When it was first launched, the television show was a huge success, but its second season foundered in the midst of the writer’s strikes of 2007-2008. The show was forced to wrap up loose ends in a haphazard manner; and though it managed to hang on for two more seasons, it never regained its stride. Now, after a few years cooling its heels, the show has been reworked. This isn’t the first time that a bunch of heroes have gone back to the drawing board. Many comic book characters have needed to be broken down and built back up again due to a variety of reasons. So in honor of the new season of Heroes, here is a look at some of the characters who have been changed for the better.

Always trying to keep the feeling of family amongst his team, Coulson has decided to implement a S.H.I.E.L.D book club—a secret one of course. Miss Peregrine’s Book Club: Perfect Reads for the Peculiars
We’ve been so excited to read Library of Souls by Ransom Riggs that we may have been trying to time travel to September 22, 2015 in order to create a time loop that would repeat the book release day over and over again. Alas, we were unable to figure out the whole time loop thing and were forced instead to not-so-patiently wait with everyone else. BUT in honor of the book release, we did get our hands on some of the peculiar children’s book cards.
“Book cards?” you ask. Well, Miss Peregrine and the peculiar children have a library. And while its location is secret, we did find out their librarian uses time travel to keep their library stocked with vintage and contemporary books. But newly-released books is as far as she’ll go into the modern world. She still uses the card catalog system! That’s how we found out which books are currently checked out from the Peculiar Library.

9 Horror-ific Cakes for Stephen King’s Birthday!
Today is Stephen King’s birthday and since scaring the bejesus out of him, like so many of his books have done to us, would probably certainly land us in jail we’ve decided the best way to celebrate the King (literally and figuratively) of horror is with cake. Stephen King inspired cake that is because we like to think he’d approve of us eating desserts inspired by his creations—gore frosted and all—to celebrate his birth.
