Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Book C.L.U.B.
Always trying to keep the feeling of family amongst his team, Coulson has decided to implement a S.H.I.E.L.D book club—a secret one of course. We can’t tell you where or when they meet but we’ve been cleared to share the books members are currently reading in hopes of picking the next group selection.
Well what some of them are reading—apparently national security is more important than our book obsession.
Depending on his mood Coulson is bouncing between two books: Two Years Eight Months and Twenty-Eight Nights by Salman Rushdie because he has experience in the world believing things are fictional when they aren’t and wants to know more about the jinn; Ally Hughes Has Sex Sometimes by Jules Moulin because he knows what it’s like to miss that person who could have been the one.
May picked up Florynce "Flo" Kennedy: The Life of a Black Feminist Radical by Sherie M. Randolph without a second thought after reading that Flo was “often photographed in a cowboy hat with her middle finger held defiantly in the air.”
Simmons has decided to get lost in someone else’s love drama and has been sucked into Ria and Vikram’s world in The Bollywood Bride by Sonali Dev.
Fitz accidentally picked up Dumplin’ by Julie Murphy on an empty stomach—while a bit confused—but after Simmons excitedly asked to borrow it once he was done he’s now looking forward to having something to talk to her about.
Bobbi is reading The Fair Fight by Anna Freeman because how can a book about female boxers in 18th century Bristol not be awesome?
Skye is reading Saga Vol. 1 by Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples to get away from her own—well, saga. While she may have hit a bit too close to home with the whole parents-under-attack plot she’s gotten sucked into the fictional world and has already asked Coulson to purchase the next volume.
Having a little fantasy about Bobbi as the cover art Hunter couldn’t help picking up Lady Killer by Joëlle Jones.
