Bookish Ways to Celebrate Christmas in July

Mayday! We're less than six months ‘til Christmas! For those of you who can't wait quite that long, we've rounded up a few ways to celebrate Christmas right now, in July.

Cookies

Who doesn't love to bake during the holidays? Mass amounts of sweets are devoured every December in the name of Christmas. Why not bake a few bookish treats this month for some of your favorite people? I'm sure your local librarian, book club members, and book sellers would enjoy these tasty confections! Ornaments

Remember when you were a kid and you made Christmas ornaments at school? Who said that has to stop as an adult? Or that you only had to use your crafty creations during the holidays? Books make excellent gifts! Why wait for December to give the gift of a good story to your loved ones? Take some shiny wrapping paper, grab your favorite book, and viola! You have a special gift for the book lover in your life. Have a book that you liked but don't want to hang onto? Wrap it up with a note about how much the book meant to you and leave it in a place for someone to find it. You can make Christmas come early for a stranger and spread some cheer.
